firefox keeps crashing

Everytime i use firefox its not opening up and iam getting this , file attached , thanks for any help

First things I'd try would be to disable all plug-ins, extensions, etc...if that doesn't change your symptoms, try Firefox Safe Mode, or uninstall/reinstall the program...

 

If you do the latter of these things, which really, I would just jump straight to, be sure you dump the program files folder for Mozilla and the Mozilla entry in the registry.

 

i have done this and its still the same crash report iam getting :cry

 

So Internet Explorer doesn't freeze then, only Firefox?

 

yes , i dont like IE though so i need FF , any suggestions

 

Well you know it's deffo an application error and specific to Firefox. Just wanted to rule out the possibility of spyware.

I would use CC cleaner and see if you cannot just delete the reg entries for Firefox only. Then do a full reinstall.

I wonder...

Do this, goto control panel and create a new user with admin rights.

Uninstall Firefox, and then logout of windows and login with the new username.


Install Firefox and tell me what happens.

 

When Caliban said " run FF in safe mode " how did you do it, because he didn't mean by pressing F8, he meant right click on FF desktop icon and choose " Run FF in safe mode, just pointing this out as some poeple get confused, and switch off their PC and restart in safe mode !
