Firefox & MP3 streaming

Firefox wants me to download Quicktime in order to stream it but i have the Quicktime codecs installed(from Klite) is their a way for it to use WMP or the codecs i installed?

 

Try uninstall & reinstall your codec.

 

Why?
Firefox is not detecting quicktime and/or the QT plugin for firefox. Nothing to do with his installed codecs.

Sadly, I don't know of an alternative....

 

Well, his install may be screwed up or his other codec screwed up the QT plugin. Could be anything.

 

the install didnt add a QT plug in for FF

dont have a QT plug, u need QT to run it & QT is 80MB of bloated software(they dont even give IPOD users the Pro version), i have all the QT codecs & view on WMP.

so their is no hack that will force FF to play on WMP

 

Actually, if I'm reading this link correctly, you can get "Quicktime Alternative" to plug into firefox.

Never used QA myself, but I've been looking for something for this! I'll post my opinion if you don't beat me to it, Grayfox

 

So far, so good!

Installation was simple, and it seems to work. Also, I was on the testing page, and checked my task manager. No new processes were created, but firefox.exe went up a mere 3000 K in memory consumption.
