Firefox Not Responding Fix...

If you guys use Firefox...Or Cyber-fox there is an issue with the places.sqlite.It act's like it's either corrupt,Or damaged.After a while.

I have been reading up on ways to fix fire-fox's Hang/Not responding issue.

Here are some steps to follow.With Pictures.On how to fix and speed firefox up.What is needed here is to replace the places.sqlite with places.sqlite.old.It will refresh it self once done.(Note When doing this you will most likely need firefox closed.A message will most likely pop up.)

First step open your Firefox web browser.Then Open Menu Icon


While in the Menu.Down at the bottom of the Menu options.There is a ? mark click on it.Then go to Troubleshooting Information.Now While in Troubleshooting Information you need to click on Open folder.



A app-data folder will pop up.This is where you need to be.


Now replace the places.sqlite with places.sqlite.old.All you need to do is rename it.And like i said above it will replace it as soon as you load up firefox.If you noticed i have two copy's one with .old and one with out.They will both have the same size 10,240KB.

I am not sure why places.sqlite be comes corrupt or bad.But it seems to fix's it self once this is done.I can load videos faster now due to this fix.
