Last few days, since I upgraded to Nortons latest 360 ver 2.0, my Firefox no longer remembers User Ids and passwords for my fav websites. I have explored all these new toolbars (ID Safe, Logins, etc), but cannot find what is now causing me to have to login everytime I close and reopen Firefox. The help/support from Norton leaves a lot to be desired. The option in Firefox to remember logins is checked. Any ideas?

Your cookies for you browser may have been cleared. This is where your passwords are handled. You may need to set up a Master Password so that this does not happen in the future (basically this will stop anything from accessing it without having the Master Password).

There are some utilities out there that can pull passwords that have been stored in a browser. With this said, as long as they were not cleared out.

You may need to go to each site and say that you forgot your password and have them email you a temporary one or your old one, depending on their password recovery policies.

Many thanks to both who posted replies. I found my issue. I had the option to Clear Private Date selected in Firefox options. That cleared my cookies, cache and passwords everytime I closed the browser. I will post another ? I have in a new thread. Thanks again.

I may not have explained myself correctly. But everything I said is very true. If you are going to contradict people, maybe you should figure out what they are saying first. I live these experiences at work and prove my troubleshooting on my own computer before I post them on the forum.

    AS A TEST:
As a test, go to a website and type in a password, one that you have not been to before that Firefox has not asked you to Save, don't Save, or never Save (sorry, not the right terminology that is displayed). Remember this is outside the the Master Password manager. Then go clear your Firefox cache. Now, does your password AutoComplete (I know this is a IE term) for you when you navigate to the site again? No!
