I use Family Tree Maker 2024 click on a hyperlink and it is supposed to open the Citation in the Browser this has been working faultlessly for 15 yrs or more. However two days ago Firefox updated and this now keeps coming up, and it has rendered my Research impossible to do. No other web page loading is affected, So it must be something on the computer that is stopping this from working properly but I don't know enough to work it out. Does anyone have any ideas that could Help
    The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
    • This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I have tried to clear cache and cookies deleted all history, started firefox in safe mode, tried to see if it works in Chrome and Edge Browser and I get the same thing. Shut down the computer and restarted still the same. I really don't know how to fix it, I also disconnected the VPN to see if that made a difference, and disabled Browser Guard and that didn't fix anything
MS Win 11 Home Version 10.0.22631
    Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
    Installed RAM 32.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I use Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Premium 4.6.17, Malwarebytes VPN, Malwarebyutes Browser Guard

I just had a thought that it might be Firefox and its Browser Privacy Enhanced Tracking Protection I have exceptions for Ancestry but it still does not load the page

If you are having the same problem in both Chrome and Edge, it is unlikely to be Firefox-specific. A problem with the site itself, perhaps? Can you provide a link?

What other browser extensions are you using? Pop-up blockers, uBO, Privacy Badger, et al.?

No other Browser extensions, Blockers etc, I have since discovered that if I change the link to as below it works so it must be a Ancestry Website problem I only hope I haven't broken anything with all my settings since I kept changing everything trying to work it out. Anyway the link that doesn't work is:
    https://search.ancestry.com/search/collections/62423/records/90093601
and if I change it to:
    https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/62423/records/90093601
it works I can't believe one has to do this so annoying but at least its a workaround

It's definitely not on your machine: the first link didn't work for me, either, but the second one went straight to Ancestry. You might want to contact them and ask if they've made changes.

It now works in both Firefox and Edge. A temporary glitch somewhere. Go figure.
