Does someone know what happened to my FF? I had it exactly how I wanted it and then a pop-up came saying there are updates that I need. So I of course installed them and now I am FF ver.1. HOwever, nothing is the same. All of my Favorites are gone, my homepage gone, the ability to go back/forward through pages is gone, wanted pop-ups are gone, my Google bar doesn't work "Google.com cannot be found" and 90% of my extensions (the reason I started to use FF in the first place) are not compatible with this new version, nor do they have updates. Does anyone know how to fix this or tell me how to revert to my old version? I System Restored my computer to get it back, but it didn't work for this.

    Thanks, Stephanie

Steph, what version of FF were you using? I am assuming it was less than v1, like v 0.09, or something similar. I think you are the victim of bad programming, but I guess you have that figured out, already. This is a warning to other FF users thinking of updating to v1.0.

Any FF users out there to help Steph? Bazza

I would make sure you're using the correct profile.

You should have checked the Firefox support page and followed the instructions in the post entitled " How to Upgrade to Firefox 1.0".
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38

What you need to do now, is find your original profile and back it up
following the instructions in the link above.
Open C drive (make sure the folder tool options are set to show hidden files) - application date/mozilla/firefox/profiles/ - you should now have two
profile folders - the original and the new one created when you upgraded.
If you are not sure which folder is which - back them both up individually, following the instruction listed above.
Follow the instructions to uninstall firefox - do a clean install of firefox 1.0, and then transfer the files from the backed up profile to the new one you create when you do the new install. That will give you your bookmarks, cookies, etc back. Themes and Extensions will probably have to be downloaded again, since many of the ones you had have not been updated for 1.0 yet.
