firefox wont install

Im new to all this, so really need as simle answer as possible
Im running windows vista home premium, 32 bit. have avira, malware bytes.
I havnt been able to load fire fox in since yesterday morning, i tried ctrl/alt/delets, then end process.
Also tried a system restore 3 times, none of which solved the problem.
Then i tried a full restore, and started from scrath, ran super anti spyware on safe mode, it detected 47 tracking cookies, i quarinteened and removed them, then restarted it in normal mode, tried to install firefox again, i got to the set up wizard, then the computer re started, but the setup wizard didnt continue, really need help on this, as just getting to terms with firefox, ive just installed chrome, its faster, but dont know how to personalise, is it better than fire fox, as fire fox had some great add on.
I dont know how to install add ons, or even expand my tool bar.

Couple of things you could try.
Delete your present download of Firefox and download again. (May be a fault in the file.)
Try disabling your antivirus and spyware apps while installing.
If you still have problems, post in Software rather than here.
If you have questions on Chrome, post in the Software forum about personalizing it. (Don't use it myself, so no help to you there.)
