I started having problems with it when I updated it
I would open firefox and the browser would be all white
nothing in the address bar, can't type in it either
    buttons dont work. . nuttn
once I ended up ending explorer.exe in the task manager then quickly running it again, and that worked, only once
has this hapend to anyone and what do i do?

I have been having a similar problem. I opened up firefox, and it wouldn't connect. I then tried disabling my firewall, Zone Alarm Pro, and it worked. Since I like my firewall, I just reinstalled to an older version. Probably not the same problem, but it's worth a shot.

This may or may not help but I read on a tech site that many are having problems after upgrading and one solution is to uninstall the older version first, then install the upgrade. If that doesn't help, let me know and I will research the info I had received and try to get that info to you.

You are suppose to unistall the old version first then install the new version...thats what I did and firefox is running fine here

if it still doesn't work, uninstall it, and remove the installation folder, then reinstall it.

It sounds like a problem with the extensions.

Make sure you have removed all traces of the previous installation, including all extensions and plug-ins then install the latest version.

The last bit, with bookmarks etc sounds like a profile problem.

When you installed the later version of FF, a new profile was probably created, and FF uses that instead of the one you have your extensions etc installed on.

Here I made a description on how to get your profile back.

run regedit and delete the following key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Mozilla Firefox (1.0.1)
