Firefox

I read the other posts and did not see anything similar to the issues I am having with Firefox. Sometimes when typing in webpages and the google bar it will stop typing and I have to click somewhere else on the screen and then back on the area I was typing in to continue typing. Also, most of my bookmarks have disappeared and the folders are listed as empty. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem? Getting close to giving up on Firefox and trying something different.

 

I restarted the computer and my bookmarks have reappeared. Is it possible that updates were installed and since I never restarted they did not take effect and this caused the problems with Firefox? I am still waiting to see if the typing issue has been resolved and will post if I have any other problems. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, is Safari more compatible with Vista than Firefox is? Thanks for the help and/or info.
