Firefox

Has any one loaded the new one and if so how is it working?

 

navyvet. I like it. I like it enough after a couple of weeks to say I think it's better than Chrome...and in good ways. Seems like the resource management in FF is better than Chrome. Still uses alot of RAM, but the unresponsive plugin dialog and all the cluttery stuff is gone and completely wiped out. No more plugin-container either. Mozilla's new requirements for extensions with the update mean they will have to be retooled but should also be better for the new FF. I think this will end up being the case.

Recommend trying it for sure...

I have the new firefox and I have to say it's better than google chrome. But if you use extensions just becarful as some don't work properly. Memory usage is good compared to chrome and you can use speed tweaks to make it even more faster.

 

I've gone back to the old version because of its privacy and the way it works with NoScript.
I use Firefox primarily for banking and shopping where I have to give my bank details and not as a general browser.

 

I haven't nitpicked it yet so might yet have issues, but it works much more smoothly and quickly on my i5 PC than does the old version - nice! However on this modest ThinkPad I mostly use it's proving a bit of a burden and I'll have to stay with Edge which works very well.
