    Hi Guys,

I stumbled across this firewall while searching for a decent firewall, I need one, but one that isn't so resource hungry, I`ve checked out ZA, Kerio, Lavasoft, Comondo, etc, all okish, but not too great in explaining what I should and shouldn't allow...

Anyone used this one, any idea's?

I prefer smoothwall. But, it requires another computer. :)

And, to answer your question. Never heard of it. :)

We'll have to stop meeting like this. :D

I use Zone Alarm Free. It uses only 4megs when running (just checked).
As to explanations, YOU have to decide what to allow to run and what NOT to run, as only you can make that decision.

ZA (and others, I presume) will drive you mad for the first 2-3 days asking if it OK to let a certain program contact the Internet. You have the choice of allow (ing) or deny (ing) each program. If you also tick the other box (I've forgotten its name), then that will permanently Allow or permanently Deny that program access to the Net.

Initially just tick Allow or Deny and leave the other box unticked until. you feel confident of your choice. Bazza

The "beta" status might kind of scare me off!

    Sorry, I tell lies.
ZA also uses vsmon.exe, which uses an extra 20 megs of Ram.  Bazza
