firewall keeps changing

    hello. i have ran the steps in your malware removal procedure as best i can. however, i could not run bitdefender or panda active scan as IE wont seem to load up (no server). i use firefox normally...would the two scans work with that or maybe AOL? thats one problem i have (IE not working), but also i have noticed my McAfee firewall keeps changing. i set it up to run in "stealth mode" but sometimes it automatically changes to "trusting mode"? one more thing, in my hijackthis log file i have C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe running twice. could you please tell me why this is and whether or not it is meant to be please? thank you very much in advance.

    Actually you have 3 svchost.exe processes running not 2 and there is nothing wrong with this. You could at times see even more of them.

    I doubt your McAfee firewall issue is related to malware. And you don't really show any malware issues that could be causing a problem. It could just be due to all the junk you are running or you may need to uninstall McAfee and reinstall.

    I'm really surprised your complaint was not that your PC runs slow. You have way to much stuff running much is unnecessary.

    Why do you need all of those tool bars? And also Google Desktop?

    Do you really need Zenturi ProgramChecker? I doubt it.

    Why do you need Keyhole Spy? I'm surprised it was not flagged by McAfee as questionable software.

    Why do you need DynSite? And also Ninja Surfing?

    Why does all the crap from Symantec need to be installed just to run Norton Ghost? That is ridiculous and they should have their heads examined. I would seriously reconsider installing all of this while having the all the stuff that McAfee also has installed. Your PC must be slower than a turtle.

    Uninstall the CounterSpy trial you install while running the READ ME, we are finished with it.

    Also uninstall Viewpoint Media Player as requested in step 0 of the READ ME.

    Also uninstall J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6 as requested in step 6 of the READ ME.

    Is AVG Antispyware a paid program or free trial?
    Is Spyware Doctor a paid program or free trial?
    Is Spy Sweeper a paid program or free trial?
