Firewall question.

No, not advisable at all, you can have a router which has a hardware firewall (NAT and SPI) and a software firewall eg. ZoneAlarm, PCTools etc, Windows Firewall.

If you have Norton Internet Security then you have a firewall already, no need for any more.

Antivirus and Malware firewall is not a term used as those are not firewalls, but seperate applications in their own right, but always advisable to only have 1 Antivirus, 1 Live scanning/Resident Antimalware and 1 firewall installed at one time, you have all of those in NIS

But you can install a on demand antimalware scanner and SuperAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes are good options.

Thanks, and the on-demand scanners are worth installing one of them, I tend to prefer MalwareBytes, and what they do as they are specialist tools is to scan for things many Antivirus applications miss, so its like having a second opinion.

Spywareblaster is also good as it doesnt run at all, what it does do is to protect your browser from many known bad websites and activeX scripts etc, it adds these into the website exceptions lists of IE and Firefox and you just need to update it once a week, just choose Manual updating, unless you like the app and you can pay for the auto-updating. This app will work ok with your Norton.
