You need to provide some more information. What OS are you running? Also do you mean that you can connect to sites with ZoneAlarm running and then eventually you can not connect to them? What does booted offline mean? You are not running an analog dialup modem so there is no such thing as offline. Or do you mean with ZoneAlarm running you can not connect to any websites?

xflat is absolutely correct Drew. I did not read your message that way though. I thought you were getting access and then having a problem later. If you can never connect, the problem is exactly what xflat stated. You need to add in information about your network IP addess range etc. into your trusted zone.

Thank you for your help, I will go redownload Zone Alarm and install it. So you're saying I need to ad it as a trusted application and do what with my IP address??

A few smiling faces and a thank you are good enough. Although sometimes we even get some email hugs. :)

What you want to do with ZoneAlarm is at a minimum define your network address
and add it to the Trusted Zone. As xflat said this could be 192.168.2.* (where * is some number from 0 to 255). Could also be 192.168.1.* You can get required info by logging into your LinkSys router. If you have multiple computers on the network you can define an
IP Range and put it in the trusted zone.

I also add my Domain Name Server and DHCP server to the trusted zone.
For example (ignore the -----. I am using them to line up columns).

Name------------- IP Address/Site-------------------- Entry Type---- Zone
    MyNetwork----- 192.168.1.0 /255.255.255.0--- Network------- Trusted
    MyRange-------- 192.168.1.0-192.168.1.255 -----IP Range----- Trusted
DHCP Server--- 192.168.1.1-------------------------- IP Address--- Trusted
DNS Server----- 167.206.3.156----------------------- IP Address--- Trusted

Why do I need to ad your Domain Name Server and DHCP server to the trusted zone??

You don't have to add them. I added them on some of my computers while debugging some very specific problems. You only need to the first two.
