firewall question

for the last month ive been using eTrust EZ Armor firewall, and as far as i know it worked fine. i was notified today that my free trial is over and that i have to buy to continue using it.
everytime i start up my computer a screen from this eTrust EZ Armor firewall pops up reminding me to buy to continue using,.
the eTrust EZ Armor firewall said that it is not currently protecting my system.. so if i was to download a different free firewall, would i have to remove anything to do with the eTrust EZ Armor firewall before my new firewall would work?

 

no, as long as you have it turned off, but you need to uninstall it if you don't want that annoying pop-up window.
