Hi, we are running zonealarm 4.5.594.000 free(last stable version we trust).Ran a browser check at PC FLANK and got a negative rating for browser leaks--called "referrer' at pc flank.
Is there any way to stop the browser leak by some setting in the firewall?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.Thank you much

I don't think you can use a firewall to stop from sending the referrer. Although to be quite honest that a stupid thing to label as a leak. The referrer isn't a problem. It's a part of an html header. In otherwords removing it would be breaking from the established standard. Which browsers like firefox and others proud themselves on following.

All it means is the website can see what page you clicked a link from to get to the page you're at. Some sites require this information to be sure that you were linked from their site and not some other third party site. So removing it could cause problems.

It's also worth noting that if you go to a site via the address bar in a browser the referrer would not be sent.
