Firewall Suggestions

I am looking for an excellent firewall for my PC. I am running XP Media Center 2005. My PC is an HP Pavilion a1312n with a 3 gig processor and 2 gig of RAM.

I would like something that does not require a lot of user interaction... you know a "set it and forget it" kind of thing. I really dislike the questions that such and such program is trying to access the internet and I have no idea what the program is or why it needs access in the first place.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Given your requirements, you are probably best off with Windows Firewall.

As mentioned in an earlier reply, maybe use the Windows Firewall initially, until you feel like trying out free firewalls like Zone Alarm, Comodo, etc. Bazza
