firewall & uninstalled prog.

This is a general question

I've been reading about firewall security,
I've seen where too many holes can weaken the firewall,
my question is, when you uninstall a program that previously had permission through the wall,
do you have to open up the firewall and remove that permission,
plug the hole so to speak.

Just in case it there is no 1 answer for all firewalls,

I'm using comodo firewall pro w/ Vista home
