Firewall

I have a i5-4670 running Win10 with 16G of RAM.

I used to run Comodo for my firewall but then switched to Privatefirewall. Last week I started having problems with PrivateFirewall so I went back to Comodo.

Right after I uploaded Comodo free I started having issues with my email. I have Outlook 2007 running from a Office 2007 I purchased years ago.

I racked my brain for a few days trying to figure out what the problem was with Outlook. I looked through the forums here and contacted my ISP; with no luck.

I figured to try to uninstall Comodo, since it was the last change before the problem, to see if that would fix the email problem. Right after the uninstall Outlook worked and downloaded three days worth of email.

So my questions:
Is this a known issue with Comodo? I didn't have the problem before.
Is there something I can do to fix it so I can run Comodo? I am using Windows Defender for now.

It can depend on whether the complete uninstall of privatefirewall was accomplished. Left overs of an antivirus/firewall can make a pc play up.
You may need to check with each antivirus/firewall to see if they have a cleanup tool. I know there have been problems with other antivirus software, and they provided seperate 'cleanup ' tool

Thanks for the info. I found an uninstaller for Comodo and it did find some of the program still on my system. I'll look for one for PrivateFirewall and run it to see what comes up.
