firewall

    hey guys, i need a fire wall that would allow me to change what ports that i want to open and stuff. I dont want to leave my computer unprotected, but then agian i have a server running with apache. I need the firewall to be able to configure ports that i want open. THanks guys

    Yup Zone alarm is good, and you might check out Sygate
    From what I seen of the free version ( I tried), the GUI may better fit your needs.

    Get yourself a modem/router then you can open up as many ports as you like.

    hey guys i used zone alarm, but it wont let me change what i ports i want open and stuff. so yeah... i need a firewall that will allow me to change ports. haha thanks yall

    I have sygate and I know that it will allow you to open/change ports. And I had za and I think it does allow you to set permissions. Its in the options somewhere. Because whenever a new program would attempt to use the modem, it would ask me if I wanted to allow it or not. Same goes with Sygate. So if you can't find the options for Za, give sygate a try.
