Where were you and what did you do.
Here it's first day of summer. Worked that day and the first morning I saw a huge full moon on the way to work. Supposed to be the first time in 48 years the full moon actually occurred that day. And for some of you I guess it's the first day of winter. Hard for me to imagine we have conditions so 180 degrees apart between hemi-spheres. We're watching new growth of plants and fruits but some are having the final harvest or planting winter gardens. This earth sure gives us a variety.

I was taking my dog to the vet to get some stitches in her front leg after she tried to jump through the lounge room window. She was trying to go after the cat next door which was sitting on the roof of our car. Then I had to organise a glazier to come out after hours to replace the window.
It was a miserable cold, windy and wet day and the vet and glazier cost a fortune :(

On a high note went out for dinner with Mrs. joffa to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary :)

The moon has been beautiful this week.

Yikes! That's pretty scary. I can remember my grandmother's huge long haired German Shepherd did the same thing, only it was after the mailman. Everyone was okay, but that was scary.

Congrats on your anniversary though. :)

Summer was this past Tuesday here. I spent time playing in my golf member guest with 3 of my very good friends, one who came up from South Carolina since she moved there a year or so ago. The day was really hot, but over all pretty awesome. :)

Thanks for the nice wishes Laura :)
Update on the pup.... 4 stitches inside wound between her toes and then 6 external stitches to close the wound and 2 tiny stitches on her muzzle just back from her nose. Dog is doing well and is quiet and relaxed wearing her Elizabethan collar to prevent her chewing the stitches, although a trip back to the vet was required today to get it rebandaged as the original bandage didn't have enough sticking plaster around her wrist and fell off when she jumped on to our bed.

Glad she's okay, joffa. :) Poor girl. ...and poor you and your wife!

on a side note...You have to love when the vets tell you to not allow your injured animal to jump and other animal things. lol

Yep unfortunately dogs will be dogs and she just wanted a cuddle from Mrs. joffa who was having an afternoon nap and the only way up on our bed is to jump. She weighs 45kg and stands 40" tall so we don't try to lift her
BTW ....Sorry to hijack the thread.

Back to the weather... over here it is freezing cold rainy with strong wind storms that have blown some roofs off houses and factories and also brought trees down everywhere causing power out in some areas.
Currently 8°C and raining although the wind is starting to ease off. Glad to be inside minding the dog all day today ;)
Hmmm.... maybe time to fire up Fallout 4 ;)

    I hate the cold weather.
At least today it was 23°C. But tonight... 8°C.

Ideally I like the temp to be between 19°C and 25°C as I am very prone to getting blood noses. Soon as the inside temp at my house hits 26°C my big air conditioner is turned on
Last night it was 4°C in my area.... brrrrr... lucky we have central heating ;)
This weekend the weather bureau is saying we may even get some snow.... crikey

My work is usually out of sync with the weather. Installing HVAC products - air conditioning and heating - it's usually a hot, stuffy and no windows heat box in the summer and on the worst days of winter it's a building with 2 weeks of work on the roof. Next week we're doing a building with 15 ac's on the roof. It's either going to be 100 degrees or else it'll rain. Just paid a power bill $98. The past year's chart on the bill shows about the same as last year but I see August hit's the peak of about $200. So first of summer's here but no where near the worst. Same as you people with the winter. We don't realize how cold youse might be on a day/night when the power goes out while we're laying on the beach!

Lunch and catching up with a friend at a quaint little restaurant on a lake with a beautiful view, then dinner with the family.:) The heat index has been between 104-108F all week and no relief in site.:(

Damn....spoke too soon as now about 1:20am and we have some light snow falling at my house.
I live in the flat lands next door to Churchill National Park http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/explore/parks/churchill-national-park and the temperature rarely goes much below 12°C even in the dead of Winter.
What is happening with global warming

We're doing the second phase of a construction project of converting an old airport facility into a charter school. Extending the original ac into the second half of the building so the ac is 'live' where we're working. Yoo-Hoo. It's a treat for all the workers.
