First Post - Hello--Can't connect to tinyurl.com

Hello to all from karic123 newbie 1st and only Question this time. I can't connect to tinyurl.com. I have tried two different browsers and deactivated "spybot" other stuff, firewall ect still working. Any suggestions to what will help me out.

Hi, and welcome to Major Geeks. I've just tried it now using Opera V9.52 and Internet EXplorer v6 with no problems.

Try this. Type in tinyurl in the address box and then press Ctrl+Enter at the same time. This should add the missing bits like .com, etc.

Thanks for the reply "bigbazza" but that did't help. I think that I'm going to shut down all my security and try that.

Anybody else go an idea. I have a rather new laptop and am running vista (don't really like it). I have tried to connect using explorer and firefox, same no connect results.

 

Works fine here with Firefox so it has to be something within your settings.

Have you given your browser specific permission to access this site? Cookies enabled? Is this the only website you are experiencing problems with? Have you ever accessed it before?
