first semester done! 25 more to go!!

LOL, well maybe not 25 but I do have quite a few more. I got amost a 94% on my Computer class. Next I take my A+ cert in January (got a scholarship for the fee) and then spring semester I am taking my Basic networking class, English 101 and maybe Math 98 (if I passed math 95 which I will find out later on today). Am going to update my resume after I get my A+ cert and resubmit it to all the area computer jobs. Am really looking forward to working inside instead of fighting the elements all the time like I currently do as an ironworker (heavy construction). Well, anyway, just wanted to give you all an update on what's going on with my schooling. Anyone out there want to hire a middle-aged, overweight, slightly ugly computer geek who's going to school to "better" himself?? Well, it was a thought! LOL...

On a more personal note, my daughter is going to have her colonoscopy on Friday and we should get a determination as to if it is actually Crohn's disease or not. Please keep that in your prayers. Thanks....

I had finals yesterday. Problem was, I was so sick that my face was swollen, my eyes were watering and swollen, and whatever this cold is, it keeps you from sleeping.

So I had also been up for 48 hours straight.

Anyone want to wager what happened?

This always happens to me. I do decently during the semester, and then get sicker than hell when finals roll in and end up dropping the ball.

 

Sounds to me like the stress of test anxiety keeps putting you under the weather, just at the inopportune time, ofcourse!! I know a couple of people like that, and it is hell!!

WTG! Jack! I always think it's so wonderful when people choose to go back to school. *wipes away a tear* I'm so proud of you...and your family must be just glowing with pride over your accomplishments. Keep up the good work and I have no doubt what you hope for will come to pass.

Have continued to pray for your daughter...please let us know the colonsocopy results. Keeping my fingers crossed!

 

You know I will girlfriend (hope Star does not get jealous for me calling you that!). I just hope that if it is Crohn's (and it does look like that is what the result will show), that we have caught it early enough to prevent any surgeries or other invasive procedures. Thanks for your prayers Abby, you don't know how much that really means to me (ok, maybe you do).

You'd think so, but my entire family is sick with this. Just unlikely coincidences

 

Congrats Wraith. Going back to school is a BIG accomplishment. So is doing that well with all the other responsibilities you have.

I hope you know your daughter and whole family are in my prayers, too.
