first time DIY watercooling

hi i was just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of a website that sells all materials needed for a watercooling setup ive tried newegg but they dont have all the stuff needed i would like to order at one time from one place.also if anyone can point me in the direction of the thread for watercooling beginners ive looked at the suggestions on here and didnt find anything. just lookin to do a basic setup for my cpu for now till i get use to it

Two common problems I have seen over the years with folks who venture into alternative cooling is (1) the mistake of not understanding that the OEM CPU fan cools more than the CPU. The motherboard's regulator circuits are clustered around the CPU socket to take advantage of the air flow from the CPU cooler. So you MUST ensure you have excellent front to back air flow through the case. And (2), water cooling requires different and more preventive maintenance. Too often I have seen where the newness and novelty wears off, and neglect sets in. And unfortunately when the newness wears off the more maintenance is required. Water cooling requires a long term commitment. If you are not willing to pick up the poop, don't get a dog.

 

#1) I totally agree with that, my Vregs depended on the cooler's fan and the temps really shot up.:eek I think I have the record over at eVGA;s forums for a Tri-Sli mobo.

#2) The maintenance really killed me when I did research on this along with the cost. I instead I got a Corsair H-50 to cool my i7 @ 3.8GHz. An H70 could have probably brought it up to 4.2 but the Vregs didn't have any headroom.
