First WU completed!

I've been coming here to MG for just a few weeks after someone suggested I check y'all out.

I've been mostly a lurker, with a handful of posts on the off-topic boards.

Anyway, I've been doing SETI@home, but when I found out about this folding project here, I switched earlier this week. My first WU is in and I'm about 80% into my second one.

It feels good to be doing something that can help (hopefully soon) a lot of people. Good luck to all of us!

There's a rumor that Seti@home Classic is supposed to be cloing down soon in favor of Boinc. I'm waiting for classic to stop running (it's a wu thing) and then I'm gonna get Boinc that way I can do more than one DC. I should be able to do folding and seti.

 

way to go JM!! folding is so self rewarding. to know that what our computers do will help cure so many diseases.

 

Yes,yes, welcome to the team! I'm on my 4th WU, and I agree with Mew, it is quite rewarding knowing your PC can be helping out just by being on.
On a "twilight zone" note, courtesy of my wife, wouldn't it be wierd to end up being cured of something your PC helped solve??
