ok guys, i love to fish and i am wondering how many of you like to fish. so lets hear some stories. i'll tell one of mine. i was fishing on dead ole lake conroe here in texas, getting ready to change my lure from a 1-ounce white spinner bait to a live worm, becuase it was getting dark and there was no moon. so i make my last cast with this white spinner at dusk, and the bass just slams it and takes off with it. i almost let go of the pole the fish slammed it so hard, so i get him in. he was around a 5 pound large mouth. stared at him (no camera damnit) then let him go, change over to a worm, but stay in same spot, thinking i found a school. well i didn't even get another bite the rest of the night. but that one bite was pretty damn good. so there's one of my stories, lets hear ya'lls.

I got a bunch of them. But, more important is hearing you young guy's talking about fishing and enjoying it so much. You will always remember every fishing trip.

So glad to see it. :)

i love to fish also. i fish almost everyday..my best fish froim last year was a 40 pound flat head catfish..cought with a sunfish. the funny thing about it was that an hour after a DNR officer finished talking to me i cought it ( here in minnesota you can not fish with sunfish as bait.) the whole time he was talking to me i was praying i would not catch a fish because he would see my bait....
the biggest fish i ever cought was a 65 pound halibit in homer alaska in 1991( i have it on video tape )

this year has not been so good i have only cought a 30 pounded. (that was the biggest). i have cought tons of 25 pound and under..
i fish mostly at night between 9 pm and 3 am....
    fish on...........

Just last weekend, our boyscout troop was out on a fishing trip. Between the 8 of us we had 230 fish!

    I though that was amazing!

There are many more to come. I have to hit the hay right now..

    Good night everyone.

    I went fishing once. . . .
no, I grew up on a pond
and being around it so much I just got tired of it. . .

But I remember when I was about eight or so. . my older sister had her boyfriend and a couple friends over.
thay had a bonfire and a few beers, just have a blast. . .
I was hanging out with m sisters boyfriend (bein a kid the guy was cool)
he went to cast, lost his balance on some rocks cracked his head open and snagged my ear with the hook. . .it hurt. .I won't lie. . .but what was really bad was that the grub went with the hook into my ear and I could feel it moving around
It might not have been in the puncture wound. . .but for an eight yo kid and abunch of 18 yo messn with ya. . . .it's funny only now

I just caught my first fish a few days ago. My husband has been an avid fisherman for many years but I was content to just sit and read on the beach while he fished in the surf. Well, 10 months ago we bought our "dream" house. A little bungalow right on the water. Last Thursday I finally tried fishing right from our dock. My first few (well more than a few) casts were awful  but before too long I caught a nice little white perch. Then another....I'm hooked !! What fun !! On Saturday I caught a little blue. We are just around the corner from an area called Graveling Point which is well known for striped bass in the spring. Last Easter hubby got a 31" striper. Yum !! Maybe by the spring I'll be good enough to give the Point a try.

    I love to fish.

I have friends who have a farm pond on their land and I have spent many
a happy hour fishing and just enjoying the pond.

That pond is stocked with crappie, large mouth bass, perch, and catfish. There is a really nice dock that one can bring all their gear and favorite beverage and sit and fish.

I have caught several nice sized fish from that pond. I didn't weigh them,
so I can't say how much they weighed. I have caught two very good sized catfish. One was so huge I couldn't land it. I didn't have a net. I had to cut my line. I caught another catfish that was good sized but not as big as the first one I described. I have also caught a couple of really nice sized bass in that pond.

A couple of years ago i was fishing with my dad, and his buddy. My dad got a firetiger Rapala, stuck into some brush. When he pulled back, the lure flung back and got inbeded into his skin.

After a few beer, my dad's buddy thought he could "cut" out the hooks. So he used wire cutters to cut the lure off, and then cut the hooks right at the puncture wound. Then all of a sudden, the hooks disapear! The rusty metal tips of the hooks disapeared into his arm!

We rushed to the hospital 2 hours away, and had xrays taken. The metal parts traveled up 10in, and had to be cut out. He was also give 4 (tetness?) boosters.

We arrived back at the pond the next morning, with out sleeping, and picked right back up where we left off. :)

    More to come!

i went out last weekend with a friend of mine, and we were wade fishing (neither of us can get a boat being 16) so we out on a sand bar that is great becase one side drops off, too bad its a 10 minute float out to the bar (we have a inflatable raft) so were out there and were catching some good bass. then i see my friend set the hook hard, which is normal then i turn around to get mine in so i can help him with his figuring its a big one. when i turn back around to help him he was GONE. next thing i know i see his head float up to the top, still has his rod mind you, and the fish. tells me to go out there with the raft to get him. so i go out there, he doen't climb in, he throws a 7lb bass in and tells me to get back to the bar. it was so funny cuase he hates the water, but he threw in the fish and then told me to leave him out there.

    got more to come later
