flash file will not display on browser from server

this is my first website.

i am creating a basic website. I am using dreamweaver 8 and i used flash cs3 to create my .swf file.

when i view the flash file in my browser locally the information bar pops up in IE asking if I want to allow blocked content. when i accept, the flash file displays.

i uploaded the file to the host server and when i try to view it from IE there is a white box where the flash file should be playing. no information bar. i cannot get the file to display.

I tried viewing it on multiple computers but all display the same white box.

i had placed the .swf file in the wrong location on the server. Moved it to images folder and it works!
