flash/fireworks which one???!!!

ok i'm going to build a simple website which will eventually get more and more advanced but we'll leave that for now!
are there any flash or fireworks (i'm not sure which one it is!) who know a)which programme to use, b) know where an online help file is for using whatever programme and c) how i go about creating this!

i've seen lots of sites with animated buttons etc and it's all done in flash! i was wondering if i could do this???!!!! help!!!

 

Dreamweaver or cold fusion would be my recommendations. But There may be newer progz out there that are better. That is what I am familiar with though so it's all I can recommend
