flash- image masking???

Hey guys, i use macromedia flash mx. My couzin does the same too but he's not nice enough to teach me a simple thing. I want to know how to mask an image. I read about it at MAcromedia's site but it still didn't help.

Can any of you help me with this? I want to do the same thing he did with a different image.

This tutorial uses the same sort of technique to create a real time magnifying, I am sure with a bit of time you would be able to adapt it to what you want. Sorry I cant be more help, just I rememberd this one from a while back...
