Flash Player alternative?

    :confused

    I am trying to find a replacement for Adobe Flash Player. I have alternatives for Real Player, Adobe Reader, Quick Time, etc. Is there such a browser plug-in or standalone program?

    No, sorry. I should have been more precise. I am not having problems, I just prefer lean clean open source software to giant slow mainstream software. Since there have been alternatives developed for many other "proprietary" format files, I am trying to see if there is a similar one for this.
