Flash Player quit working

Interesting one this one.

I got SP2, IE SP2... and Macromedia Flash player 7.

For some bizarre reason, when I view a flash movie (in IE, firefox, or using the viewer) it will load the pre-loader but it will not continue to play the actual movie. It will just stop on the first frame. Actionscript seems to run, but the frames arn't advancing on their own?

I've no idea what might be causing it, and since I don't look at flash all that much I don't know what I might have done before it happened. IE has been foob-ing out on me recently, crashing when i try to exit it... thats been happening since SP2. But this Flash problem ...only happened recently.

Thanks, but unfortunatley this problem is in Firefox as well, so changing a registry entry for IE wont do anything

 

Sorry, didn't notice the firefox entry. It looks like from everything I saw that uninstall and reinstall is the only "sure fix".

Yep, I did that any it didnt change, but then I did it again, restarted, then restarted AGAIN and it works! wehey!
