Flash player with a seek bar?

Hey guys, this is my first post so bare with me. ^^

I have Flash 8 and I've gotten pretty used to using it and animating. However, with the way I've learned to animate things (animate into a symbol) I can only see the characters and stuff animate if I do "test movie." However there is no time line seek bar in the flash player. This is quickly becoming VERY annoying because every time I want to check something I did I have to watch through the WHOLE movie just to see what I've done at the very end. 9-9;

So hopefully you guys get what I'm saying. If not I'll put it simply, is there any version of flash player that has a seek bar so I can drag to any part of the movie OR at least have some control over the playing of the movie? If so how do I make it so Flash uses it when I click "test movie" ??
