Maybe I've missed it but why has nobody complained about there being no more access to Flash ? Truthfully I've just noticed it because I just purchased a tablet that doesn't have it preinstalled and my desktop does! where can I download an active version of Flash or is there a way around it ?

Because complaining won't make a difference.

Adobe was doing flash for Android for a bit and then they canned it completely. Apple wouldn't allow it on their platform, so that is a moot point.

You might find an old (and probably insecure) version of flash out there to sideload on Android, but it will only work on the Android stock browser, and it might not work for anything above 4.2.

HTML5 is the future for mobile media (and probably desktop too).

In the meantime all the sites (& I've come across thousands) instructing me to install Flash - & even provides the link...lol !

Yep, that is the fun of mobile browsing. HTML5 isn't standardized yet, either.

It is better than it was 2-3 years ago though. It was really, really bad back then.
