Flash9H.ocx Is Shutting Down My IE

I'm using Windows 98SE with IE6. I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash player version 9.0.159.0, and it works fine on a number of websites, except that it will not play videos on YouTube. In fact, there are perhaps one or two videos on Youtube that I can play but nothing else.

Everytime I attempt to play a video (on YouTube) my browser shuts down with a message that says "IEXPLORE executed an invalid instruction in
module FLASH9H.OCX at 016f:04b1951d."

I'm having hard time believing that Adobe would put out a product like this without having a subsequent fix for it. Does anyone here know how to fix this problem?

I would definitely appreciate the help.

BTW, I downloaded and installed flash players 7 and 8 and found that I wasn't able to use the websites that I like with those versions. Most of these websites require version 9 or higher.

 

You probably need to reinstall it. This tool will take down some of the remains of old Flash so that you can get a clean install:

Then you need to search manually for leftover files and folders. Search for Macromedia, Flash, Adobe and delete residue from version 9 and all other versions. Then reinstall version 9.

A part of the problem is that a number of sites don't support Flash 9, Internet Explorer 6 and Windows 98. The program is, as you know, an 11 years old OS. You will encounter more and more problems of this kind in the future, I sorry to say...
