Flashing monitor

Good morning.

My Dell LCD monitor works great for a while then starts flashing off and on. The power switch is also flashing off and on. When the problem starts, the power switch does not turn off the monitor. I have this LCD connected to a laptop, and the laptop display works fine. The problem starts after several minutes of use. Do you suppose the problem is related to a heat issue? I am willing to replace or repair parts inside the monitor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I have connected this LCD to my other computer and it has the same issue.

I'm thinking it's the montior. You really cant replace parts on a monitor. You could try to change the signal cable but that may not help. I'm thinking it's a heat issue to.
