I skimmed a site and the next thing it started loading a flash player..
I pulled the connextion and now I have this irritating hard drive activity all the time..
The flashplayer did not fully load, and I think what did load is searching for the missing part..
I now have this tik tik, brrrr as the hard drive is activating ,all the time..

How do I check this out, where and what do I do??

    Thanks guys(an galls..):)

When you say "a" flash player was it Macromedia's Flashplayer?

if so you could run the un-installer here http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_15511 to see if it will remove a partial install.

or actually goto Macromedia and install the Flashplayer to see if it finishes the part install, then un-install if you want ( but at least getting it direct from Mcromedia *now a part of Adobe* you know its a legit version )
