Hi, I have an old 450 mhz pc running windows 98se. I went to go format a few floppys, I inserted the first, selected format 1.44 mb (which was wrong, it was only a 1 mb floppy) I guess I should have selected .44 size. So then the pc locked up, now the floppy drive won't read any floppys, it says they're write protected or not in drive correctly. I uninstalled the drive, rebooted, ran scandisk, tried to format one in safe mode, nothing worked. System info says theres no conflicts and the drive is working correctly. No lights, Is it dead?
