My floopy drive isn't working. If you insert a floppy disket and you try to open, you get the error message " Insert a disk into drive A".
Anybody with an idea of how to fix this?

Could be that the disk drive heads are dirty. You can get a cleaner kit for floppy drives. But if the drive itself has failed they are fairly cheap to buy and generally easy to fit.

Buy a new one. It is probably cheaper than a head cleaning kit. Bazza

You will also get that message if the floppy cable is on backwards.
When the cable is on backwards you will also see the led on the floppy drive lite all the time.

Here's new one $9 free shipping:

I have similar problem, with the same message appearing, alternating with "A:\ is not accessible. No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk"

Anyone know why? Just buy new drive?
