My Intel D975XBX motherboard will not recongize my floppy drive. I just got a new one, it is recongized by my other computer but won't work on this motherboard. I tried installing the RAID drivers during the Windows XP setup, but it didn't recongize any floppy drive. Neither did Knoppix and the non raid XP I had placed on it. I need a working Floppy Drive to install RAID 1 on the computer.

I tried using a USB flashdrive to put the drivers on, but setup failed at first and then it stopped recongizing my USB flashdrive as a floppy drive as I had set it up in the BIOS.

So, how do I A) fix my floppy drive or B) get the RAID 1 Drivers for windows setup to work. It's Intel Matrix Storage Technology by the way.

    Thanks,

In bios is your Floppy drive enabled?

You can also slipstream your drivers with your OS on a CD, you can also add MS updates & service packs but this will take some time to do

    Yup, it's enabled.

It's a SP2 XP CD. How could I find out how to add MS updates and drivers to the CD itself???

Any other ideas people have? Can use all the help I can get.

    Thanks,

It's not easy to set up a cd/dvd with all your drivers & windows updates. Very time consuming too.

If you follow the link ASUS gave you can download nLite. You will need net framework v2 installed.

It would be simple (hopefully) to add your raid driver to the xp cd. You won't need to press F6. Just let it load.

If you try it make the cd with a rw till you see that you raid driver has loaded.

If you go that way yell out & we can add more to help.

OK, I tried installing it with Nlite and the drivers on a DVD. Does it matter the media? It did not work.

Other thing... Which driver do I want, the F6 Driver or the non F6 Driver...

    Thanks for the help
