   unable to use floppy drive says {insert new disc} does not recognize new disc.

   Your floppy drive is it 3 1/2 disk ?
   
   When you insert it gave you what error message exactly.
   
   Maybe the disk is NOT formated or your drive need a little clean up you can buy kit to clean your 3 1/2 drive it's around $10.00
