I have all this information second hand, so I'm sorry I can't give more specifics. Here's my question, there's a PC that won't read information from a floppy, but when you take that same floppy to another PC, the information on the disk can be read just fine. However, when I take another disk to the computer from which the data on the original floppy can't be read, that second floppy can be read from and written to just fine. One PC is an IBM and the other is a Gateway. So my question is why can this drive not read data from the original floppy when that same floppy can be read from another computer, while the original floppy drive can read other disks?

Has the individual in question just tried using a different disk?

Yeah, a different disk works. But the first disk works on another computer. So I can't really say that the disk is corrupted because it can be read from another computer, but at the same time, I can't say that the floppy drive is bad either because it can read other disks. That's the issue. I'm just curious as to what can cause a situation like that.
