floppy not working?

ok i have this pc just sitting here it was working just fine like a month ago befor i just sat it in the corner i just hooked it up and it says floppy failed so i took it out and put another init and same thing happenshttp://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/eek.gif so thin i change its cable same thing wtf is causeing this to happen? everything is ok in bios every thing is hooked up right the computer boots up just fine but the floppy is the only thing not working what should i do about it and its the gateway 2000 E-3000 i have for sell on here what should i do? spec's below

i think there is nothing left then the motherboard...

 

well its booting just fine its just the floppy i ever even used it befor because if i ever have to boot off a disk i use the windows cd anyway heck i dont even have a floppy on my new pc i bulid so i guess theres no need for one lol thanks for the help anyway
