Floppy problem.

Hi, when I try to open a floppy? I get this message.....A:/ is not accessible......No ID address mark was found on the floppy. I have tried to open several disks and get the same result......Anyone got any ideas?

 

Have you made any recent hardware changes to your system?

When was the last time you tried to use a floppy?

Also, you could try booting to safe mode to see if you can read a floppy.

 

if it does not work in safemode...try this:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2. Click the Device Manager tab.

3. Double-click Floppy Disk Controllers.

4. Click the floppy disk controller, and then click Remove to remove
the controller.

5. Click OK.

6. Restart your computer.
