    Hello,

When I open any folder, I can't see any of the files in that folder because the area which should contain the files is black. Hmmm. Does anyone know what might cause this? :confused

I am running Windows XP sp3, and recently installed Stardock "Fences" a new program for organizing the desktop.

    Thanks for any ideas!

    Regards,

Hey djerzy, welcome to MG :)

Well i have honestly never seen that problem before, nor have i heard of that "stardock fences" you mention you have installed recently.

However, i would try uninstalling said app' and see if the problem persists.

I uninstalled the Stardock "Fences" program and did a re-boot and sure enough - problem solved. I reinstalled the program, and this time everything is working great. Glad that is over! :celebrate

By the way ~Q~, if you want to see what it is, here is a link:

My desktop has been a disaster, and I am glad that this was an east fix, because the concept has really cleaned things up.

    Thanks for your help!
