so, I have a folder on my desktop called "music shit" and its a grand total of 2.90 GB (3,114,769,295 bytes) of space. recently when ever I open it, my computer goes crazy, and sometimes locks up my computer and I have to do a hard shut down. Anyone know why this is happening? I mean, this is getting really annoying :| Ive checked for viruses and ad-ware, and all is ok. there is 372 files and 64 folders, ( I like to keep my stuff organized :|)

It is probably trying to index the files in the folder.

how do I get it to stop? or at least get it to stop my computer from freezing.

Check to see if Indexing is turned on, or some third party application is running that causes the behaviour. It comes down to how you have the main folder behaviour set. If it has to index over 2000 files, and the drive has not been DeFragged in quite a while, it can cause problems.
