folder removal

I removed a camera program called FlipShare with Revo but I found a folder called FlipShare under videos in my library. Is it safe to delete this folder?

Check the contents of the folder. You may have some saved videos there.

 

No pictures but I have an attachment so you can see what it says.

 

I see that you had some questions about this a few months ago in another thread but you decided to continue using the program.

From what I can tell, that is the default location for the FlipShare database file, .db

If you are not going to use the program, it should be safe to remove.

If you have the Everything search engine, type .db in the search field and you will find dozens of .db files. They take up little space and you really don't need to worry about them at all. If you don't have Everything then do get it - it's just incredibly fast and useful.

 

I found a better way to use the camera without the software so I got rid of that software with Revo.
When I saw the left over folder in my library under videos, I was curious so I wrote here. I have since renamed the folder and if there is no trouble in a couple of weeks, I wlll permanently delete that folder.
Flip was a learning experience. I just usb the camera and pc then use DCIM to copy and paste to desktop where Roxio burns the dvd. There are plenty of MP4 editors out there that don't corrupt the WMP like Flip. Windows dvd burner does not work with mp4 files either.
