Folder Views

How can I keep the view settings for individual folders on my desktop different. I like the contents of some folders to be viewed as large icons and others to be viewed in detail. I can change them to what I want but the next time I start the computer all views default back to large icons. The only reference in windows help, tells you how to "set all folders to same view". I am using windows 2000.

Thanks for your input, but that did not work. I followed the steps that you outlined. Upon restarting, the folder views reverted to something other than what I had set.
