For a couple weeks now my computer has been very slow to shut down. I used Winpatrol and HJT and saw nothing running that looked unusual.

Yesterday I finally caught a box popping up breifly on the screen that said Font Capture. I got to wondering if this was my problem.

Today I did a Google search and found a place that said that the problem may be Adobe. So I searched my system for "Adobe". Well, bow howdy! I got 51 hits. I have at least two versions of Adobe - however when I go to add/delete programs it shows only one. I assume that at some point Adobe updated and overwrote the old version.

I have Adobe files strung from hell to breakfast. Apparently Adobe puts files everywhere! How can I get rid of the ones I do not need? I would post a screen shot of what I found using Search but I do not know how to do that.

Oh yes, I have run AVG, Mbam, and SAS, and CA antivirus and all is clean. No other weird behavor either.

I suspect that somewhere in all these Adobe files my computer is gtetting confused and running something unnecessarily. Funny thing, I rarely use Adobe - I don't read pdfs much.

Even if this is not my problem I would still like to clear out useless Adobe files.
