Font management software

I've been using a font management program called Font Reserve but for no reason I can make out it's stopped working recently. It no longer seems to be supported so I need to find an alternative.
Can anyone recommend anything? I looked at CFont and I couldnt really understand it, it also didn't seem to be able to detect my Postscript fonts. Im looking for something as close to Font Reserve as possible with the same features etc. I don't minfd if it isnt free either, as long as its under $50.

We're sorry that Font Reserve is no longer working for you. I assume that you're using the single user version of our product. We have continued to innovate with our font management products, and strive to keep them compatible will all operating system updates. Changes to the OS may be the reason why the older version of Font Reserve stopped working for you.

I appreciate the information but I've had a hard time getting a straight answer out of your sales people. I just needed to know how much it will cost me to upgrade from my non working Font Reserve to the cheapest working application that does the same job.

Digging a little further it seems that this is Suitcase for Windows (Fusion is the Mac version from what I can make out) which would cost $64.95 to upgrade as I'm in the UK. Except unfortunately Font Reserve isnt listed as an option in products that qualify for an upgrade. Is that the case or just an oversight as you expected most people to have made the switch by now?

I couln't see a way of downloading Linotype either. (Thanks Plodr btw) Cheers for the links I'll check those out.

I did install Typograf but it didnt seem as intuitive as Font Reserve and I I just didnt feel like I had the control and flexibilty I got with FR either. I am one for not RTFM tho and just tinkering with apps. Any I can get working that way are always the winners imo. FR was no brainer enough that I figured it out easy enough.
