Are you brave enough to attempt the new 'buntu?

I have considered it for the 12.5 Gig I am playing on.

I need to block out time and get back onto the 320 Gig again. :major

 

Actually, I am back on Arch. I did like Mint better than Ubuntu, though.

I haven't tried 8.10...but I don't have a reason to really...all of the features it has, I already have in Arch. I pulled them from testing yesterday. Kind of wishing I hadn't...but anyway

 

What do you NOT like?

I thought Arch was dead? I have mint on the bootable USB stick.

 

The 2.6.27 kernel wasn't compiled to my liking, and contains some obsolete features that hurt laptop battery life. But, to be fair, it is still in testing. Hopefully they recompile it so I don't have to.

Gnome-do stopped working with 2.24...in Arch anyway.

Xorg 1.5 broke all mouse and keyboard input.

But thats the risk of running an unstable tree.

Arch was dead, but its better than before...so maybe its had life breathed into it.
